President Kagame Speaks at WEF Great Reset Dialogue

Kigali, Wednesday 21 October 2020 – President Kagame has on Wednesday addressed the World Economic Forum reset dialogue under the theme “Harnessing the Fourth Industrial Revolution”. President Kagame participated in the virtual event alongside President Iván Duque of Columbia, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel and WEF President Børge Brende.

In his remarks, President Kagame said that increased investment in technology will drive Africa’s transformation and the world’s future. He also highlighted deliberate efforts that the Government of Rwanda has taken to pave the way for financial resources into the technology sector to drive the country’s growth.

President Kagame further said that Rwanda has enjoyed partnership with technology companies, highlighting the case of Zipline which has partnered with the government to deliver medical supplies to rural hospitals. He added that Rwanda has extended partnership with countries including Israel and Singapore that have enabled the country to build technological capabilities.
